The tremendous growth on cloud technology leads to an massive updating and classification, In-general cloud deployment are classified into three major types these classifications are totally based on their usage and features.

  1. Public Cloud

  2. Private Cloud

  3. Hybrid Cloud


Public Cloud

Servers and Storage are owned and operated by third-party cloud service providers [AWS, AZURE, Digital Ocean] and delivered over the internet.

  • Services are provisioned over the public internet.

  • Available for anyone who wants to purchase them.

  • It may be free and pay only for what they consume.

  • Gmail and Google Drive are examples of public cloud services.


Private Cloud

Maintaining a dedicated computing resources exclusively to a single organization/enterprises. its been prioritized and isolated from the public users

  • It can be located physically at your on-site organization.

  • It also can be hosted by a third-party cloud service provider.

Hybrid Cloud

Creating a combination of cloud environment by combines the public cloud and private cloud. totally based on customization.


Pros and Cons


Public Cloud

It saves organizations from spending the expensive costs of having an on-premises data center. However, Storing confidential data in the public cloud is not safe, cause it's accessed over the public internet there may be a possibility of data theft, hacking, etc.


Private Cloud

By using the private cloud we are getting full control of the environment. It's secure cause only legitimate persons of the organization will access the data. One drawback is that the organization is responsible for the cost and managing the private cloud which is expensive.

Hybrid Cloud

A hybrid cloud is an excellent option for organizations that wants more security and control of their data but needs to be cost-effective.


It's hard to implement.
